3 March: Wish You Were Here – A Pet Tale

It’s been very exciting around here these past few weeks. March is right up there with my favourite times of year, getting ready for new adventures under sunny skies during Spring Break.

Everybody’s talking about the awesome hotel reservations we snagged for two whole weeks. That brand-new all-inclusive resort with the huge water slide. Their fantastic food with surf and turf and Catch of the Day specials. The diving! The snorkeling! The long walks on the beach. At sunset. It doesn’t get much better than that!

I got right in there, packing my beach essentials: my little umbrella beanie, cool shades, glow-in-the-dark leash, battery-operated fresh water dish. A stash of just-in-case treats, you know, what a dog needs.

I even got myself some very cool dreads to fit in with the locals. I could not be more ready.

But whoa… what’s this? Who unpacked my leash? And who ate my Milkbones?

What do you mean, a “non-pet-friendly” resort? Whoever heard of that? Find another hotel!! Don’t mess with me. Doesn’t quality family time mean anything to you guys any more??

And now you want me to stay in the kennel for two whole weeks? I can’t! I won’t!

Sorry folks, I’m outta here. I repacked my stuff into a brindle stick – I’m going to ride the rails to a way better holiday.

Here’s my selfie. Eat your heart out. 🐾
