Gimme Five! – A Pet Tale
Well hello there! I’m Corazon, the gal in the middle, the one with the big heart. Let me be the first to wish you Happy New Year!
When my Human adopted five kittens, she needed to come up with unique names she could easily remember. She settled on:
Anna, Enna, Inna, Onna, and…
Can you guess the name of the fifth one?
Unna, you say? Wrong! It’s me, Cora, I’m the fifth sister!!!
Ha ha. Yup, I’m a hoot. I do try to keep things light-hearted around here. Except when it comes to inspecting Gentlemen Callers… that is serious business.
Anna is the one who helps Mom with her computer work. She sits right there on the keyboard every day, inspiring creativity and taking naps.
And Enna? She’s good with numbers. She fixes Mom’s shopping list to make room in the budget for essentials. Growing girls need lots of treats. Plus she gives us all a heads-up when Mom starts counting to ten… Run and hide: nail clipping time!
Inna organizes the fridge. She keeps it filled to the brim with staples like salmon, tuna, and cat food. There might be a piece of broccoli in there cuz, you know, vegetables.
And Onna does her part to keep Mom fit by coughing up lots of hair balls to clean up. Bend and stretch and bend and stretch.
One might say we’re the quint-essential kitties who hold this family together! So bring it on, 2025. I don’t know what the Chinese calendar is calling it, but in this house, it’s always the Year of the Cat. 🐾
